Zusammenfassung:Aloe vera, commonly known as babosa, is a plant widely recognized for its application in wound treatment due to its healing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, which are concentrated in the gel and the outer skin of its leaves. This plant has multiple uses, both internal and external, and is incorporated into foods, medicines, and cosmetics because of its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, immunostimulatory, antitumor, and hyperglycemic properties. Traditional uses include treatment for burns, inflammation, and fever, as well as aesthetic applications. The primary objective of this study is to gather information on the use of Aloe vera as a healing agent and in cosmetics, with the aim of understanding its clinical applications and highlighting its pharmacological properties based on various proven activities. The findings indicate that Aloe vera enhances tissue vascularization, improving oxygen and nutrient delivery, and stimulates natural collagen production. Thus, it is evident that Aloe vera is a medicinal plant with remarkable healing properties, containing various compounds that accelerate wound healing. Its therapeutic properties can be further enhanced when combined with other substances. Keywords: Medicinal plant; nutricosmetic; phytotherapeutic effects; therapeutic properties. A Aloe vera, comumente conhecida como babosa, e uma planta amplamente reconhecida por sua aplicacao no tratamento de feridas devido as suas propriedades cicatrizantes, anti-inflamatorias e antibacterianas, que estao concentradas no gel e na casca externa de suas folhas. Esta planta possui multiplos usos, tanto internos quanto externos, e e incorporada em alimentos, medicamentos e cosmeticos devido as suas propriedades anti-inflamatorias, antibacterianas, imunostimulantes, antitumorais e hiperglicemicas. Seus usos tradicionais incluem o tratamento de queimaduras, inflamacoes e febre, alem de aplicacoes esteticas. O principal objetivo deste estudo e reunir informacoes sobre o uso da Aloe vera como agente cicatrizante e em cosmeticos, com o intuito de compreender suas aplicacoes clinicas e destacar suas propriedades farmacologicas com base em diversas atividades comprovadas. Os resultados indicam que a Aloe vera melhora a vascularizacao dos tecidos, promovendo a entrega de oxigenio e nutrientes, e estimula a producao natural de colageno.
