Zusammenfassung:In Brazil, a program coordinated and regulated by INMETRO aims to alert costumers on the energetic efficiency of consumer goods and buildings through the National Energy Conservation Label (NECL), present in products on a voluntary or compulsory basis. The Brazilian Program of Vehicle Labeling (PVL) is a partnership between INMETRO and CONPET aimed at providing services to the public as well as stimulate the manufacturing and importation of more efficient and economical vehicles. This article, therefore, explores the relationship of continuous pollutant variables covered by the PVL program with the energy consumption of each category of vehicle tagged in a reference year. The research pointed to a positive relationship between carbon dioxide and vehicular energy consumption, evidencing the relationship between autonomy and vehicle energy efficiency.
