Zusammenfassung: | Brazilian youth literature, in recent decades, has stood out for the multiplicity of themes available to the reading public. For this study, we will use the strand of Critical Realism and will list as a corpus of analysis the narrative The Day Luca Didn't Return, by Luis Dill. Finalist for the Jabuti Award in 2010 in the Juvenile category, the book in question is one of the only books in the youth segment that explores the theme of missing children, a consequence of urban violence, especially in large Brazilian metropolises. Thus, in this text, among the varied interpretative approaches, we will address the presence of urban violence, as well as melancholy in the narrative in question, based on the postulates of Ginzburg (2013) and Sigmund Freud (2010), in dialogue with authors who investigate contemporary youth literature. |
