Zusammenfassung: | The text discusses the production of accessible teaching materials in the form of videos for deaf people and originates from the demands of professional training for high school technicians in integrated high school courses. The effort is the result of applied research, development, with a qualitative approach that is part of the educational innovation processes developed in the Institutional Program for Technological Development and Innovation Scholarships (PIBITI) of Instituto Federal de Alagoas (announcement no. 17 PRPPI/Ifal of May 2022). The studies carried out on the adaptation and production of content for the deaf community allowed us to give a new meaning to audiovisual production, placing the deaf person at the focus of the conception, planning and development process. This led us to break with the model in which the video is produced and then complemented with the addition of adaptation resources for deafness, generally translation into Libras. In view of this, we speak of the idea that the production of material must have the deaf person and culture as central elements; that video production can and should be designed, planned and developed for the deaf community; that it is necessary to compensate and invert the logic of production, promoting an inclusive praxis that seeks to break with the reductionism recommended in the practice of adapting available materials. Keywords: Teaching philosophy; accessible teaching materials; deaf students; professional and technological education; educational innovation; special education.
