PREVALENCE OF URINARY INCONTINENCE IN GOIAS STATE

This study addresses the prevalence of urinary incontinence (UI) in the state of Goias from 2008 to 2024, aiming to analyze the temporal and spatial trends of the condition. Using data from the TabNet system of DataSUS, the research calculated the annual prevalence of UI in different cities, identifying the city with the highest prevalence in 2024 and examining variations over the years. The statistical analysis, including linear regression, revealed an overall increase in the prevalence of UI in Goias, with Goiania showing the highest prevalence in 2024, followed by Anapolis and Aparecida de Goiania. The trend of increase was significant in all cities, suggesting a consistent growth of the condition. It is concluded that urinary incontinence is on the rise in the state, highlighting the need for public policies and targeted interventions for the regions with the highest prevalence. Este estudo aborda a prevalencia de incontinencia urinaria (IU) no estado de Goias de 2008 a 2024, com o objetivo de analisar as tendencias temporais e espaciais da condicao. A analise estatistica, que incluiu regressao linear, revelou um aumento geral na prevalencia de IU em Goias, com Goiania apresentando a maior prevalencia em 2024, seguida por Anapolis e Aparecida de Goiania. A tendencia de aumento foi significativa em todas as cidades, sugerindo um crescimento consistente da condicao. Conclui-se que a incontinencia urinaria esta em ascensao no estado, destacando a necessidade de politicas publicas e intervencoes direcionadas para as regioes com maior prevalencia.
