Zusammenfassung:In times past, teaching methods considered the teacher as a figure of authority over the student. Social changes have triggered noticeable transformations in the teaching-learning process. In this scenario, this research seeks to investigate the effectiveness of active methodologies in teaching-learning, with the aim of overcoming. In this way, we carried out a theoretical bibliographic analysis, based on previously prepared materials, including scientific articles, literary works and Brazilian periodicals. The interpretation of the data collected allowed a deeper understanding of the topic in question. The results obtained demonstrate that the adoption of active methodologies in the teaching- learning process allows the student to have a more participatory and active involvement. It is essential to break with conventional paradigms regarding teaching approaches, focusing on the student as the protagonist of their own learning. To achieve this, it is essential to offer students experiences that encourage them to explore new opportunities. In this context, active methodologies emerge as crucial elements in the search for students' interest and motivation today. In this sense, it becomes clear that the incorporation of active methodologies in the teaching-learning process encourages students to engage in an active and participatory way. It is essential to break with conventional approaches to teaching, prioritizing the student as the main agent of their own learning. This involves providing students with experiences that encourage them to explore new perspectives. In this context, active methodologies become essential components to foster the interest and motivation of students today. Keywords: Teaching and learning; innovation in teaching; active learning methodologies. Em tempos passados, os metodos de ensino consideravam o professor como uma figura de autoridade sobre o aluno. As mudancas sociais tem desencadeado transformacoes perceptiveis no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Nesse cenario, esta pesquisa busca investigar a efetividade das metodologias ativas no ensino-aprendizagem, com o intuito de ultrapassar. Desse modo, realizamos uma analise bibliografica teorica, fundamentada em materiais previamente elaborados, incluindo artigos cientificos, obras literarias e periodicas brasileiras.
