Zusammenfassung:The objective of the study was to analyze the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus and quantify the risk and prognosis. Cross-sectional, descriptive, retrospective research from 2008 to 2013, using data collected in DATASUS/HIPERDIA. Of the 2,601 adult and elderly individuals, 77.4% were hypertensive, 19.1% hypertensive and diabetic, 2.6% type 2 diabetic and less than 1% type 1 diabetic. The prevalence of hypertension and diabetes and their concomitant occurrence was higher in women, between 40 and 59 years old. The frequency of sedentary lifestyle was 49.3%, overweight and obesity 34.3% and smoking 21.7%. Main complications kidney disease and stroke. Approximately 40.6% presented medium risk and 13.5% high risk associated with hypertension, leading to an unfavorable prognosis, high morbidity, mortality and disabilities, signaling for more effective health actions and regular monitoring of this system, as a way of subsidizing the actions and evaluate the solvability of the program.
