INFLUENCE OF THE USE OF COMBINED ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES ON ISCHEMIC STROKE: REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE/INFLUENCIA DO USO DE ANTICONCEPCIONAIS ORAIS COMBINADOS NO ACIDENTE VASCULAR ENCEFALICO ISQUEMICO: REVISAO DA LITERATURA/INFLUENCIA DEL USO DE ANTICONCEPTIVOS ORALES COMBINADOS EN EL ICTUS ISQUEMICO: REVISION DE LA LITERATURA

The use of contraceptives is currently the main method used by women who wish to prevent pregnancy and alleviate other disorders in the body. Methods that contain in their composition the hormone ethinyl estradiol that makes up combined hormonal contraceptives, induce significant changes in the coagulation system, causing an increase in thrombin and coagulation factors and a reduction in natural coagulation inhibitors, thus influencing thromboembolic events such as stroke ischemic brain injury (iVA). It aimed to analyze and discuss the influence of the use of combined oral contraceptives on the occurrence of stroke in women aged 15-50. As a methodology, it was carried out in June 2020 in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database, which includes international libraries such as MedLine, Lilacs and Scielo. In this way, 29 articles were found and 24 were eliminated, using a comparative table of 5 highlighted studies for argumentation. Therefore, ischemic stroke is increased in women who use combined oral contraceptives, with a risk up to four times greater compared to women who do not use this method. The dose of estrogen, in turn, showed a direct relationship with the potential for the development of stroke, with a lower dose being less dangerous. O uso de anticoncepcionais e atualmente o principal metodo utilizado por mulheres que desejam prevenir gravidez e amenizar outros disturbios do organismo. Metodos que contem em sua composicao o etinilestradiol hormonio que compoe os anticoncepcionais hormonais combinados, induz alteracoes significativas no sistema de coagulacao, acarretando aumento de trombina e dos fatores de coagulacao e reducao dos inibidores naturais da coagulacao, influenciando dessa forma eventos tromboembolicos como o acidente vascular encefalico isquemico (AVEi). Teve como objetivo analisar e discutir a influencia no uso de anticoncepcionais orais combinados na ocorrencia de AVEi em mulheres com idade de 15-50. Como metodologia, foi realizada no mes de Junho de 2020 na base de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saude (BVS), que inclui bibliotecas internacionais como o MedLine, Lilacs e Scielo. Dessa forma sendo encontrados 29 artigos e eliminando 24, com uso de tabela comparativa de 5 estudos em destaque para argumentacao.
