The present research aims to characterize the mortality profile of people with HIV/Aids in Maranhao between the years 2013 and 2022. For this purpose, an ecological descriptive study was carried out with a quantitative approach. The research is carried out in the state of Maranhao, which has a territorial extension of 329,651.496[km.sup.2] and an estimated population of around 6,776,699 inhabitants, unevenly distributed among its 217 municipalities. using the databases contained in the Mortality Information System--SIM-SUS. Information collection during the studied period took place between the years 2013 and 2022, totaling 3,670 records of deaths due to HIV/AIDS in the state of Maranhao. The variables used for the analysis were: sex, race/color, age group, education, marital status and place of occurrence, based on the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, tenth Revision (ICD-10). Given the information presented, it is clear that the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/AIDS are worrying, given the information presented, we observed that the mortality profile is prevalent in male patients, of mixed race and aged between 30 and 39 years, who have incomplete primary education and are single. Para esse proposito foi realizado um estudo ecologico do tipo descritivo com abordagem quantitativa. A pesquisa e realizada no estado do Maranhao, que tem uma extensao territorial de 329.651,496[km.sup.2] e uma populacao estimada em cerca de 6.776.699 habitantes, distribuidos de maneira desigual entre as suas 217 municipalidades. utilizando as bases de dados contidos no Sistema de Informacoes sobre Mortalidade--SIM-SUS. A coleta de informacoes durante o periodo estudado ocorreu entre os anos de 2013 a 2022, totalizando 3.670 registros de falecimentos por HIV/Aids no estado do Maranhao, as variaveis utilizadas para a analise foram: sexo, raca/cor, faixa etaria, escolaridade, estado civil e local da ocorrencia, com base na Classificacao Estatistica Internacional de Doencas e Problemas Relacionados a Saude, decima Revisao (CID-10).Considera- se, diante das informacoes apresentadas, fica claro que as caracteristicas epidemiologicas do HIV/Aids sao preocupantes, diante das informacoes apresentadas, observamos que o perfil de mortalidade e
