Zusammenfassung:The use of alcohol, in particular, is becoming increasingly precocious throughout the world, with excessive consumption resulting in situations of dependence, and, therefore, when it is suspended abruptly, it triggers Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome. (SAA). Within SAA, signs and symptoms develop over a period of several hours to a few days, in which delirium stands out. The objective is to provide knowledge to the team working at the Cristo Rei Health Foundation, regarding alcohol withdrawal syndrome and delirium, aiming to build a clinical protocol on the subject, supported by assertive diagnoses, conduct, management and prognoses. The target audience is nurses, psychologists, nutritionists and nursing technicians, considering that these are present throughout the care of patients affected by such situations. It is a descriptive study, in which the information evaluated refers to patients hospitalized in back-up beds with a diagnostic hypothesis of delirium in cases of SAA, as well as disseminating information regarding health professionals established at the Cristo Rei Health Foundation in Matipo- MG, a city located in the Zona da Mata Mineira. Among the actions carried out, the following are listed: dialogue with the teacher responsible for the subject; anamnesis with patients; reading medical records; construction of a clinical protocol for the identification and management of delirium in SAA; preparation of a pamphlet and lecture with slides for health professionals at the Cristo Rei Health Foundation of Matipo-MG. Through the lecture at the Cristo Rei Health Foundation, as well as the distribution of pamphlets to employees and delivery of the prepared protocol, it became clear that the intervention project achieved its initial objective of facilitating the conduct of the institution's health professionals when faced with delirium due to alcohol withdrawal, given that the feedback regarding the method of elaboration and elucidation was positive, mainly because the evaluation scales were provided, which until the moment of presentation were not known to the team. Keywords: Delirium; delirium due to alcoholic withdrawal; mental health.
