Zusammenfassung: | Sedentary behaviors affect a large part of the Brazilian population, and the remaining populations of quilombos are exposed to these behaviors. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors associated with sedentary behavior in quilombolas from the microregion of Guanambi, Bahia, Brazil. This is an epidemiological, cross-sectional study. The outcomes, sitting time and TV time, were obtained through an interview form. Logistic regression, backward conditional model, was used, in which the outcomes were associated, by age group (adults; 18 to 59 years; elderly: a 60 years), with the following variables: sex; family income; if he had a company; alcoholism; smoking; physical activity in free time; arterial hypertension; hyperglycemia; HDL-c dyslipidemia; and obesity. As a result of the 850 quilom- bolas evaluated, in adults, time sitting was associated with: higher income (OR=1.76; 95%CI:1.10-2.79); without a partner (OR=1.76; 95%CI:1.11-2.79); physically active (OR=1.92; 95%CI:1.06-3.45); no HDL-c dyslipidemia (OR=0.45; 95%CI: 0.24-0.84); and TV time was associated with non-drinking (OR=0.43; 95%CI:0.24-0.77); being physically active (OR=1.76; 95%CI:1.05-2.98); and without arterial hypertension (OR=1.71; 95%CI:1.09-2.68). In the elderly, sitting time was associated with the absence of hyperglyce- mia (OR=0.37; 95%CI:0.16-0.87) and hypertriglyceridemia (OR=2.57; 95%CI:1.06-6.23); and TV time for those without obesity (OR=0.16; 95%CI:0.05-0.58). It is concluded that the associations between seden- tary behaviors and other variables differed by outcome and by age group.
