Specialization in editing scientific journals in the training of the information professional in Cuba/Especializacion en edicion de revistas cientificas en la formacion del profesional de la informacion en Cuba

The information professional has currently been widely demanded for the journals management, the evaluation of science and scientific activity. In Cuba, the training of the information professional is carried out in four centers of higher education within those located at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas. In this center, the specialization in journals and scientific edition of the professional of the information has been offered through the signature Procesos editoriales since 2017. As part of the improvement of the training process, internationalization actions of the subject were proposed in order to be in accordance with international trends and standards. The study's objectives were: 1) to establish internationalization actions for the assignment of Editorial Processes and 2) to systematize the results obtained in the professional training of information for the scientific edition in the center of Cuba. The study was classified as descriptive with methodological contribution. In order to obtain results, methods were used at the theoretical levels, fundamentally the classic documental analysis. As main results, the methodological design of the editorial process assignment is shown and the main results obtained in the specialization of the information professional in the scope of the journals and the scientific edition, are systematized. The proposed internationalization actions contribute to the training of the information professional in accordance with the trends and international standards around the scientific edition.
