Strengthening the Concept of Moderation in Building Households The Harmonious

The family of sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah, is the dream of everyone who establishes a sacred relationship (mitsaq ghalidha), but in reality not a few households are shaky and even destroyed because there is an unequal relationship in fulfilling the rights and obligations of husband and wife. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the paradigm of moderate husband and wife relations in the modern era. This study aims to be able to realize the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of husband and wife moderately in accordance with the current context. The methodology used includes literature research that examines progressive thoughts on household phenomena at this time. The fact is that many wives are no longer tasked with only being housewives, more than that they also help make a living in the household, so the concepts of justice, equality, ukhuwah islamiyah and mu'asyarah bil ma'ruf must be prioritized for the benefit and the formation of a sakinah family, mawaddah wa rahmah, needs to be reconsidered if it is to be used as a new jurisprudence paradigm.
