Zusammenfassung:The research on the "Chineseness" of music creation is a major research subject of the National Social Science Fund of China in recent years. This encourages the author to have in-depth thinking and exploration on the "Chineseness"creative concept of new Chinese piano works since the reform and opening up. The research objectives of this paper are as follows: 1) to study the connotation of "Chineseness" academic discourse; 2) to study the Chinese composers' "Chineseness" creative concept of in composing techniques, aesthetic pursuit and humanistic dimension since the reform and opening up. This paper is the research carried out by means of literature investigation, observation and interview. After research, it is found that since the reform and opening up, the "Chineseness" creative concept of Chinese piano works is that Chinese composers highlighting Chinese modern style, Chinese culture and philosophical spirit as well as shaping the image of Chinese culture and self-confidence in Chinese culture in the context of cultural dialogue between China and the West Keywords: Chinese; Piano; Music; Chineseness; Cultural
