Clinical epidemiological features of hMPV infection in children with acute respiratory tract infection

Objective: To investigate the clinical epidemiologic features of human meta pneumo virus (hMPV) infection in children with acute respiratory tract infections, in order to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment as well as disease prevention and control. Methods: A total of 5060 cases of children hospitalized with acute respiratory tract infections at our hospital from September 2021 to August 2022 were selected as study subjects, we developed a clinical case observation form, collected cases based on the prescribed uniform criteria, demographic and clinical data of all children were collected, and then divided into hMPV and non-hMPV groups according to whether or not they were infected with hMPV, and the demographic data, clinical manifestations and relevant laboratory tests and imaging findings of all children were compared.
