Zusammenfassung:New 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)porphyrin- and C.sub.6-C.sub.9 alkyl bromide-based ionic liquids were synthesized in 23-49% yields. The resulting compounds will be used as key building blocks for creating functional hybrid materials with a defined hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance, which will allow expanding possible applications of useful properties of these compounds. The biological activity of the synthesized porphyrinic ionic liquids was predicted. The cationic porphyrins obtained may be of interest to medicine, specifically in development of drugs for treatment of ischemic heart disease and cerebral palsy. The purity and structure of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by electronic absorption and .sup.1H NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry methods.
