Zusammenfassung: | Although in recent years there has been a considerable increase in research on the therapeutic potential of music, there are no known music therapy studies that have investigated the efficacy of this discipline in improving satisfaction with social roles and activities in neurological patients. Twelve group music therapy sessions were conducted with eight persons between 37 and 64 years of age with acquired brain damage. The Spanish version of the Abbreviated Questionnaire of Satisfaction with Social Roles and Activities (PROMIS, 2017) was used. High voluntary participation in the sessions and statistically significant results in the pre- and post-tests were obtained. Music therapy could be part of multidisciplinary treatment programs in the field of neurorehabilitation providing significant advances in the recovery and improvement of satisfaction with social roles and activities of neurological patients. |
