A pregnant woman enters a grocery store in the middle of the pandemic. She bears the weight of work, familial drama, and the future. Her experiences highlight the obstacles employed women face in the United States and the lack of social concern and support for expecting mothers. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Andreea received her B.A. in Linguistics and an Advanced Language Certificate in Spanish from Yale University. She is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in the American Studies department at the University of Bucharest. Her writing primarily focuses on social, familial, and intimate relations and conflict.
