Zusammenfassung: | Trifluoperazine (TFZ) is a typical antipsychotic drug known to bind calcineurin, calmodulin and other associated proteins of it. However it is not known that this TFZ would bind to kinases are not. Protein kinases have emerged as the largest family of signaling proteins in eukaryotic cells and are involved in every aspect of cellular regulation. Therefore the current study is carried out to know whether TFZ binds to different various protein kinases. It is known that substrates bind in docking grooves/docking motifs within the kinases domain. Therefore the TFZ was docked on to different kinases by using Schrodinger (Maestro 11) software Version1.7.4 Schrodinger, LLC to find out the binding energy. The binding affinity of TFZ with different kinases as follows AGC (-6.1) [greater than or equal to] CLK (-5.4) [greater than or equal to] TK (-4.4) [greater than or equal to] CMGC (-3.2) [greater than or equal to] CaM K (-2.7) STE (-2.5) [greater than or equal to] typical kinases (-2.1). This study suggests that the TFZ have different binding affinities with different kinases & they may also exhibit non specific modulatory effect on kinases and need to be explored at molecular level. |
