Zusammenfassung:OBJECTIVE: To compare indices of iron homeostasis, low grade inflammation, oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction between healthy pregnant women(HC) and Preeclampsia patients(PE). MATERIALS & METHODS: In a cross-sectional study Preeclampsia patients (n = 40) and healthy pregnant women (n = 40) between 30 to 38 weeks of gestation both on Iron supplementation were recruited from OG department of JIPMER, Puducherry. Blood samples were collected from them and serum was stored for further analysis. Serum levels of Hepcidin, Transferrin, Ferritin, Iron, Hscrp, ADMA were measured by Elisa and MDA, TAS by Manual Methods.
