Industrialization is fundamental to a country's economic growth and development. The relationship between these elements was the focus of several theorists in the field of economic development in the 1950s, because many countries had grown based on the returns generated by the industry, therefore, the industrialization process was the means found by Brazil to achieve the development. In this context, the industry of Parana stands out, which contributes significantly to the generation of employment and income in the country. In the case of the metal-mechanic industry in Parana, the sector moves the economy of several regions, when it offers machinery and equipment to the other strategic sectors of the state, such as agriculture, strengthening the formation of regional hubs. Regarding the locational profile of employment, the metal-mechanic branch is concentrated in the metropolitan mesoregion of Curitiba, however the QL results revealed that the branch also had a significant concentration in the mesoregions Centro Oriental, Sudoeste, Norte Central, Norte Pioneiro e Oeste
