Zusammenfassung:This article discusses the media consumption related to pop music among young Cubans based on ethnographic-inspired field research conducted between 2016 and 2017 in Havana, which problematizes the prescriptions of youth studies in Latin America. The relevance of the study lies in debating cosmopolitanism in particular economic and political contexts highlighting different ways of constructing ideals of Modernity. It presents a theoretical and conceptual discussion to assist studies and analysis about youths contrasting the tensions of digital and media consumption in the socialist island. Highlights the consecration of a particular format of media, the "paquete digital" ("digital package"--set of downloaded and shared files) that focuses on the debate on Internet access in Cuba, political and ideological disputes regarding the economic embargo imposed on the country and attempts at dialogue of the Cuban state with youth. Este artigo discute o consumo midiatico ligado a musica pop entre jovens cubanos a partir de pesquisa de campo de inspiracao etnografica realizada entre os anos de 2016 e 2017 na cidade de Havana, que problematiza as prescricoes sobre os estudos sobre juventudes na America Latina. A relevancia do estudo esta em debater o cosmopolitismo em contextos economicos e politicos particulares evidenciando diferentes maneiras de construcao de ideais de Modernidade. Apresenta uma discussao teorico-conceitual com vistas a auxiliar estudos e analises sobre juventudes realcando os tensionamentos do consumo digital e midiatico na ilha socialista. Destaca a consagracao de um formato particular de midia, o "paquete digital" (conjunto de arquivos baixados e compartilhados) que incide no debate sobre acesso a internet em Cuba, disputas politicas e ideologicas referentes ao embargo economico imposto ao pais e tentativas de dialogo do Estado cubano com a juventude.
