IMPACTS AND RISKS IN GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN CONFINEMENT DUE TO COVID-19: WHAT HAPPENED IN ECUADOR?/IMPACTOS Y RIESGOS EN LA VIOLENCIA DE GENERO CONTRA LAS MUJERES EN CONFINAMIENTO POR LA COVID 19: ?QUE PASO EN ECUADOR?

This article aims to demonstrate the impacts and risks of gender-based violence against women in confinement due to the coronavirus and the public policies adopted by governments, especially that of Ecuador. It is a descriptive study that is based on the reports of international organizations for the protection of women and the different digital broadcasting media. As a result, it was identified that in the first weeks of confinement, women could not come to report due to confinement and the restriction of movement, unlike the fact that it is currently known that there is an incalculable number of women who are victims of violence exerted by their partner during the period. confinement, and that the policies adopted have not reduced this type of violence; on the contrary, it is increasing.
