Zusammenfassung: | Impaired gas exchange has a definition similar to respiratory insufficiency, which presents two types of hypoxemic or hypercapnic, ie problems in gas exchange and ventilation. It is a serious health problem, since it can lead to death if not treated correctly and briefly. However, there is the problem of the lack of information on the interprofessional practice based on scientific evidence and its guidelines for the diagnosis and nursing prescription for the patient of high complexity under intensive care. Therefore, the present study aims to review evidence-based interprofessional guidelines that will assist the intensive care nurse in the identification and treatment of nursing care related to the impaired gas exchange in the context of the interprofessional team. The method used in the research was of a descriptive nature, carried out through a systematized bibliographic review and based on secondary works, published in the period from 2011 to 2017. It was used as bases, Pubmed, Cinahl, Web of Science and Lilacs, in Portuguese and English in nursing journals, with the PICO research strategy, were elected respectively: (P) Respiratory Insufficiency OR Hypoxia AND (I) Airway Management OR Breathing Exercises AND (C) Respiration, Artificial OR noninvasive ventilation OR Positive-Pressure Respiration AND (O) respiration. Results were selected 10 articles (from 63 recovered) that collaborated with the resolution of the research problem and classified according to their content and reliability. The conclusion of the study was that the interventions found in the nursing journals and assimilated with those of the NIC should be evaluated by specialized personnel and implemented for the benefit of patients with impaired gas exchange/respiratory failure, having as a recommendation it is necessary the continuous and careful evaluation of the specialist nurse in intensive care for patients with impaired respiration/gas exchange, multidisciplinary round and the creation of a multidisciplinary protocol to guide care. É um grave problema de saúde, visto que pode levar ao óbito se não tratada de forma correta e brevemente. Entretanto encontra-se o problema da escassez de informação sobre a prática interprofis |
