Contemporary art in Tomás Martínez: a path of resistance and the exercise of freedom/Arte contemporanea em Tomás Martínez: percurso de resistencia e exercicio da liberdade

This article intends to reflect on some artworks of the artist Tomas Martinez (19272017) born in the city of Yecla, province of Murcia, Spain. Considered the Picasso ofYecla, he dedicated long years of his life to honor Picasso in his paintings. Only a different and unique phase of the artist will be analysed: "Homenaje a las gachasmigas", where freedom overcomes obscurantism. Life, its connections with everyday life and its practices in the community are intertwined in his painting.
