Zusammenfassung:The competitiveness of the rural territories requires the articulation and cooperation of the agents in order to make the most of the specific resources. An adequate analysis of competitiveness must consider the elements related to the production factors inherent to the system, the capacities to establish synergies between individual actors, their organizations and institutions to achieve the development of the territory. In the Localized Agro-Food Systems (SYAL), innovation processes, sectoral, commercial, promotion and tariff policies affect their level of competitiveness. This research analyzed the systemic competitiveness of the SIAL of the pineapple of El Penon (located at Bolivar Department, Colombia). Thus, methodologically a model that incorporates variables related to the macro, meso, meta and micro levels as variables was designed. We identified and validated descriptive indicators of the SYAL related to each of the elements of the model. Moreover, after compiling the indicators in the case study, the performance status at each level of competitiveness for the pineapple SYAL of El Penon was identified.
