Zusammenfassung: | In the context of the growing era of movies, the image of animation in movies is more and more favored by people. The role of symbolism in the development of film and animation can't be underestimated. This article mainly reveals the decoding process of symbols in the film and television animation from the aspects of symbol extension and connotation; Explore the correlation between symbols and film and television animation in cross-cultural communication from the perspective of the relationship between the development of symbols and film and television animation in the process of communication, and the significance of symbols in film and television animation in communication; Through the application of symbols with Chinese elements in film and television animation, the application of traditional art form symbols in film and television animation and the fusion of cultural symbols in film and television animation are discussed. This article summarizes from different aspects when constructing cultural symbols for the animal images in "The Return of the Great Saint", "Crazy Animal City" and "Kung Fu Panda". "Crazy Animal City" mostly adopts modern methods; "The Return of the Great Saint" is good at using traditional Chinese characteristics to express and construct cultural symbols with oriental charm; "Kung Fu Panda" uses Chinese traditional and distinctive Kung Fu elements. The success of the three animated films, "The Return of the Great Saint," "Crazy Animal City," and "Kung Fu Panda," is an important part of the self-revolution of animated films in the history of development.
