Uma analise comparativa do impacto dos fatores individuais e de vizinhanca sobre os riscos de vitimizacao

This study introduces the public soc'al control in the investigation of the impact of neighborhood factors and the characteristics of its residents about the risk of victimization in four locations: in the states of Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina, in the Rio de Janeiro City and D'strict of St Amaro, Rerife. The public soc'al control refers to the ability of the neighborhood to ensure external resources required for the reduction of crime and v'ctimization. We found that neighborhoods with high levels of public soc'al control and stronger ties members tend to reduce individual risk of v'ctimization. Note that the results were not similar in all the studied localities, but realized that the risk of v'ctimization can be explained both by the level of the individual factors as the neighborhood.
