EDUCATION AND POLICIES OF MASCULINITIES: FIFTEEN YEARS OF PRODUCTION IN GENDER STUDIES

Seeking to explore the timid growth of academic papers that deal with masculinity, we conducted a survey of production about the topic on the online platform of CAPES (Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination). From the results, we identified 80 studies that during the survey were categorized as inserted in different groups, respecting the areas of knowledge and the higher recurrence of each topic to enable better understanding of the analysis, investigations, definitions and problematizations found. This article presents a diverse and plural sample of masculinity approach in academic productions, showing the multiple possibilities of studies of gender relations with focus on masculinity.
