Zusammenfassung:Several authors in the field of urbanism affirm that in Belo Horizonte (MG) the process of urban expansion combined with the country's economic development and state action has given great impetus to the process of urban (re) production through the implementation of several Real estate enterprises, such as land parceling, large buildings and equipment. This article aims to identify and critically analyze the (re)production of Belo Horizontes space in the first decade of the 21st century, considering real estate projects in the land subdivision modality, subdivisions and dismemberments. Data used for the accomplishment of the article included urban planning legislation approved in the period, economic registers and Cadastral Plants developed by the public power, which, according to the period when they were carried out, contain the records of the implantation of real estate developments and of urban infrastructure in the city. Information was consolidated in a base map that indicates in time and space the process of expansion of the city, as well as the existence of areas not yet parceled out, in face of an intense occupation of the municipal territory. The map analysis allows to conclude that the urban space of Belo Horizonte, a product of society's (re) production, contradicts the expansion needs of the capital itself, as it increasingly becomes a "rarity", a concept explored by the philosopher Henri Lefebvre in his studies of the 1970s. Given this context, one may verify that the State intervenes in the city trying to stimulate spaces for appropriation of the real estate market.
