Zusammenfassung: | Density is a scientific concept that generates some confusion among students, were often taught only in mathematical form, which entails great difficulties in understanding it in everyday situations. In this context, this article investigates the understanding of students of the 9th year of elementary school about this concept, also presents and discusses a sequence of activities, elaborated based on the methodological approach of the Three Pedagogical Moments, developed with these students. Data were collected through questionnaires proposed in the first and third moments, as well as field records throughout the activities. Data analysis and interpretation were carried out based on the assumptions of the content analysis. As a result, it was noticed that most of the students relate the buoyancy of the bodies with the density but still highlights other argumentation in favor of the other parameters such as weight, quantity, and immiscibility. In this sense, we emphasize the need for studies that broaden this discussion and other teaching proposals that discuss this concept in the most diverse levels of teaching. |
