Cultural landscape and spaces of representation at agricultural community of Agua Branca, Sao Mateus do Sul/PR/Paisagem cultural e espacos de representacao da Colonia Agua Branca, municipio de Sao Mateus do Sul/PR

The studies on the theme of Cultural Landscape have been resumed since the end of 1970s, from a reinterpretation of its conception made possible by the evolution of Humanistic Geography, the Geography of Representations and the phenomenological thought. This conceptual ripening was essential for its revaluation in the academic field and application in public politics. Stand out in this research the association of this theme to the cultural heritage, by international and national institutes, providing even more its popularization, among them UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and IPHAN (National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage), that created an instrument of preservation named "Cultural Landscape". Starting from the thesis that the cultural landscape must have the dimension of the lived world of its residents, it proposes the use of a methodology that evidences the duplicity of the meaning that the landscape regard. The propos is based in Henri Lefebvre, in the triad--spatial practices/spaces of representation/ representations of space and the object of study for the application of this methodology was the agricultural community Agua Branca, located in Sao Mateus do Sul/PR. In this way, it is believed that the Cultural Landscape as living space converges to the understanding both the theoretical perspective of Geography of the Representations as in the applied perspective, to the institutes of historical and cultural preservation.
