Zusammenfassung:The manuscript focuses on how the concepts of clientelism and corruption are used by the literature on Political Communication. It sustains that, instead of describing concrete, empirical subjects, both concepts are used in an adjective manner, as a means for describing some societies as being incapable to meet some ideal standards that are supposedly satisfied by other societies. Also it argues that this argumentative model is used in both international studies and those made in Brazil about the so-called "regional media".
