Youth employment policies: studies in Latin America and Argentina /Políticas para la inserción laboral de jóvenes: estudios en Latinoamérica y Argentina/Politicas para a insercao de jovens no trabalho: estudos na America Latina e Argentina

This paper is part of a completed ethnographical study on the relationship between young people andyouth training and employment access policies in the city of Buenos Aires. Within this framework, this paper analyzes and summarizes various research perspectives in social sciences that focus on youth employment in Latin America; these include educational access and youth employment policies as well as studies that capture youth experiences in relation to job training and work. The article identifies existing research gaps in this field and suggests approaches that can expand understanding in this area.
