Zusammenfassung:This paper analyzes, from the perspective of the history of the book, a judgment given in 1431 by the ecclesiastical court of Evora, involving the prosecutor of the Monastery of St. Francis of Evora (plaintiff) and a representative of the Church of Viana do Alentejo (defendant). The dispute centers on a manuscript book containing a Flos Sanctorum, whose legitimate possession both litigants claim. The description of the book and the parties' arguments allow us historically to contextualize the manuscript, its material value and its alleged journey through the hands of several owners. Este artigo analisa, na perspectiva da historia do livro, uma sentenca judicial dada em 1431 pelo tribunal eclesiastico de Evora, ao qual compareceram o procurador do Mosteiro de S. Francisco de Evora (queixoso), e um representante da Igreja de Viana do Alentejo (reu). Disputam um livro manuscrito, que contem um Flos Sanctorum, cuja legitima posse ambos os litigantes reclamam. A descricao do livro e o relato das razoes apresentadas pelas partes permite contextualizar historicamente o manuscrito, o seu valor material e os alegados percursos pelas maos de varios possuidores.
