Zusammenfassung:The present study represents the second record of pre-ballooning behavior in Arkansas Ummidia Thorell 1875 (Ctenizidae). Mygalomorph ballooning is discussed and our observations are compared with previous authors' observations. Photographs and video of the behavior are included. Images and discussion are provided detailing genus-level identification of the spiderlings.
