Zusammenfassung:This work proposed to establish a body comparison of active elderly under age of sixty, seventy, and eighty. The data collecting were made in the month of April of 2008, where were evaluated the following items: body weight, lean mass weight, fat weight, skin-fold of triceps, biceps and abdomen. The following parameters were used in the elderly profile determination. From these data were found among the groups that didn't have difference in the body weight, lean mass weight, fat weight, skinfold of triceps, biceps and abdomen. The results showed that the regular practice of physical activities helps about the point of view of body composition doing that the fat percentage keeps on the age of eight's and presenting lower risks of diseases linked with fat accumulation like obesity. Key words: body composition. Aging. obesity. Este trabalho se propos a estabelecer uma comparacao corporal de idosos ativos menores de sessenta, sessenta, setenta e oitenta anos. A coleta de dados foi feita no mes de abril de 2008, sendo avaliados os seguintes itens: peso corporal, peso da massa magra, peso de gordura, dobras cutaneas triciptal, biciptal e abdominal. Os seguintes parametros foram utilizados na determinacao do perfil do idoso. A partir destes dados constatou-se entre os grupos, que nao houve diferenca no peso, massa magra, peso de gordura e nas dobras triciptal, biciptal e abdominal. Os resultados evidenciam que a pratica regular de atividade fisica contribui para beneficios sob o ponto de vista da composicao corporal fazendo com que o porcentual de gordura se mantem ate os oitenta anos e apresentando menores riscos de doencas ligadas ao acumulo de gordura como a obesidade.
