The development of the standard Lithuanian language: ecolinguistic approach/Lietuviu bendrines kalbos raida: ekolingvistinis poziuris

The theory of standard languages is closely linked with the standardization policy and prevailing ideology. The language ideology comprises its value, experience and convictions related to language usage and its discourse being influenced at institutional, local and global levels. Recently, in the last decades, foreign linguists have linked the theories of the development of standard languages and their ideologies with an ecolinguistic approach towards language standardization phenomena. The article is based on Einar Haugen's theory about the development of standard languages and ecolinguistic statements and presents the stages of developing the standard language as well as the factors having an influence on them. In conclusion, a strong political and social impact has been made on the development of the standard Lithuanian language. The stages of the progress of the standard Lithuanian language have rapidly changed each other, some have been held very close to one another and some still have been taken part. Kalbos ideologija apima verte, patirti ir isitikinimus, susijusius su zmoniu kalbos vartosena ir diskursu, formuojamu instituciniu, nacionaliniu ir pasauliniu lygiais. Pastaraisiais desimtmeciais uzsienio lingvistai bendriniu kalbu raidos teorijas ir ju ideologijas sieja su ekolingvistiniu poziuriu i kalbos norminimo reiskinius. Straipsnyje, remiantis Einaro Haugeno bendriniu kalbu raidos teorija ir ekolingvistikos teiginiais, apzvelgiami lietuviu bendrines kalbos formavimosi etapai ir juos nuleme veiksniai. Daroma isvada, kad lietuviu bendrines kalbos raidos istorijoje galima izvelgti labai ryskia politiniu ir socialiniu reiskiniu itaka. Lietuviu bendrines kalbos raidos etapai greitai keite vienas kita, kai kurie net vyko greta ir tesiasi iki siu dienu.
