Para alem da "maternidade militante": mulheres de base e os ativismos

The popular female political activism has been analyzed by the "militant motherhood" model, created in the 80's. This model links these women's political commitment to the reproduction of their attributes as mothers in the political universe. In more contemporary times, the political activism experience of women from lower classes challenges this model and shows new comprehensive possibilities to this phenomenon. Based on the ethnographic research done in the city of Recife/PE, among women's rights activists from different social stratum, this text intents to demonstrate these new possibilities.
