Evaluation of landslide risk management in Macico do Morro da Cruz, Florianopolis, SC/Avaliacao da gestao de risco de escorregamentos no Macico do Morro da Cruz, Florianopolis, SC

Along years, risk management in Brazil has been only related to emergencies. However, this process enabled actions involving identification, prevention and reduction of risks. This paper analyzed the practices in landslides risk management in Macico do Morro da Cruz, Florianopolis, Santa Catarina. Sixteen precarious settlements had special attention in this analysis due to the landslides risk areas in different degrees. The study showed that isolated actions are performed by the many actors involved, but none is done in a systematic way that contributes to municipal development.
