Bibliometric analysis of selected multidisciplinary journals of psychology recently incorporated in the Web of Science

It was done a bibliometric analysis of the multidisciplinary journals of psychology recently incorporated in the Web of Science (WoS) in 2008 and 2009. A total of 448 "articles" and "revisions" was analyzed, where the nationality of the authors, the index of responsibility and the contents of the works were examined. The results show that Psicologia: Reflexao e Critica is the journal that has more published articles. There are differences in the diversity and number of collaborating countries, being the journal Universitas Psychologica the one that has greater representation of authors from different countries from the origin of the journal. There are more individual articles (31.25%), followed by works signed by two (28.57%) and three authors (21.43%), respectively. The majority of articles is classified within the areas of Social Psychology (18.75%), followed by articles of Clinical Psychology (16.74%) and works related to Psychology of Education (11.16%), clarifying that the greater contribution of clinical works comes from the Revista Latinoamericana de Psicopatologia Fundamental (with 40.7% of the total of its publications). Se realiza un analisis bibliometrico de las revistas multidisciplinares de psicologia recientemente incorporadas en la Web of Science (WoS) en los anos 2008 y 2009. Se analizo un total de 448 "articulos" y "revisiones", donde se examinaron la nacionalidad de los autores, el indice de autoria y los contenidos de los trabajos. Los resultados muestran que Psicologia: Reflexao e Critica es la revista que mas articulos posee publicados. Existen diferencias en la diversidad y numero de paises colaboradores, siendo la revista Universitas Psychologica, la que posee una mayor representacion de autores de paises diferente al de origen de la revista. Predominan los articulos individuales (31,25%), seguidos de trabajos firmados por dos (28,57%) y tres autores (21,43%); la mayoria de los articulos se clasifican dentro de las areas de Psicologia Social (18,75%), seguidos de articulos de Psicologia Clinica (16,74%) y trabajos relacionados con Psicologia de la Educacion (11,16%), matizando que la mayor aportacion de trabajos clinicos proviene de la Revista Latinoamericana de Psicopatologia Fundamental (con un 40,7% del total de sus publicaciones).
