This present article shows the transformations in the cattles manipulates techinics and the socials relations of the families groups that live in the city of Caceres, state of Mato Grosso in Brazilian Pantanal. For this, it uses like research techinics the local observation and interviews with people of two generations of each group family. Thinking that the pantanal tradition is in the context where the pastures offer the most lucrative busnisses, the pantanal tradition in the present time is not a continuity of the past time. The globalization and the modernization of techinics are challenges to the sustainable development. It is necessary that the ecological protection walks side by side with the culture transformations and the economical dreams of the pantanal people
