Struggles and resistance in countryside paranaense and the project Dataluta-PR/ Lutas e resistencias no campo paranaense e o projeto Dataluta-PR/Luchas y resistencias en el campo paranaense y el proyecto Dataluta-PR

This article deals with the spatialization and territorialization of peasant struggles in the state of Parana from information and data collected by Dataluta-PR between the years 2006 and 2008. The Dataluta-PR is part of the Network Dataluta dedicated to the creation of a database of the struggle for land held by various social movements in the country. From the data collected by Dataluta-PR was possible to analyze and discuss the history of peasant struggles in the state, focusing mainly on the clashes occurred between the years 2006 and 2007. It was observed that the peasant struggles in Parana manifest in many ways, the most frequent, the confrontations over land ownership, environmental preservation and biodiversity, agricultural credit, against the construction of dams and agribusiness. In this context of struggle was emphasized the occupation of Syngenta's experimental station in Santa Tereza do Oeste by members of Via Campesina. This occupation is locked copy of territorial disputes between peasants and agribusiness in Parana.
