The effectiveness of community-based interventions to reduce violence in and anround licensed premises: a comparison of three Australian models

Increasing levels of alcohol-related violence in Australia have encouraged a growing interest in locally based initiatives to deal with this problem. This paper compares and contrasts three of the better-known initiatives, or local Accords, and draws some conclusions regarding the factors that are important with respect to the sustainability and efficacy of these approaches.
