Ethical issues and dilemmas in research at teachers' colleges

This paper deals with ethical dilemmas in social and educational research, from the point of view of the researchers, and stresses that professional ethics does not overlap the moral code as it also represents the self-interest of the profession. The paper focuses the following aspects: upholding the fights of the individual; safeguarding the professional status and academic standards of the research; and protecting the fights of the public. Researchers work under many constraints, and they are obliged to consider ethical boundaries. The paper recommends developing a code of ethics, education in ethics and moral behavior, and consultation with peers.
