Identifying and assisting schoolchildren with developmental tasks

Educators are often unaware that just as they have goals or tasks they expect schoolchildren to master, each child brings to the educational setting goals or tasks that s/he must work on in order to feel successful as a human being. This paper describes the goals or.developmental tasks of schoolchildren, activities to identify them, ways to assist children in mastering them, and procedures for monitoring and evaluating the outcome.
