Zusammenfassung:This study investigated the relationships between psychological inflexibility, experiential avoidance, and valued living levels in role-playing game players. The sample of the study consists of 340 people, including 170 role-playing game players (RPG group) and 170 non-role-playing game players (comparison group). The groups had mean ages of 24.24 and 23.81 years, and they had the same distribution as they are matched one-to-one in terms of gender and educational status. The psychological inflexibility, experiential avoidance, and valued living levels of the participants were evaluated. For this purpose, Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-2, Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire-30, and the Valued Living Questionnaire were used. In addition to general demographic information, psychological/psychiatric distress, types of RPGs, and frequency of playing were obtained using the demographic information form. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the psychological inflexibility levels of the RPG players. Did not differ from those of the comparison group, and their valued living levels were lower than those of the comparison group. When the relationships between variables were examined, psychological Inflexibility was found to be associated with subdimensions of experiential avoidance and very low in relation to valued living. According to the results of the regression analysis, experiential avoidance predicted psychological inflexibility scores, whereas valued living did not predict psychological inflexibility.
