Zusammenfassung:Sixty years after the development of the Venice Charter, the field of conservation and restoration of historic monuments and sites has significantly evolved. Charters on industrial heritage, historic cities, public spaces,... and others have been developed, thus addressing the conservation of different types of monuments and sites, and therefore have discussed the field of conservation through different forms of heritage. This study constitutes an analytical observation of the various documents that came after the Venice Charter, it is based on a comparison between the points described in the Venice Charter and the themes of the other international and national Icomos charters. Through this study, it is affirmed the universal and complete character of the Venice Charter which does not need to be revised, since it constitutes the mother charter from which emanate the different charters, which in fact come to detail or specify one or several points addressed in the Venice Charter or interated into the meanings of its articles. Keywords Conservation and restauration, Venice Charter, Historic monuments and sites, ICOMOS.
