Zusammenfassung:This paper seeks to explore the relationship between governments, the mining industry and Indigenous Peoples during the COVID-19 health crisis in Canada in order to identify the place given to Indigenous concerns in the conversations of companies and governments during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The positions of the actors and the discourse coalition frameworks they deployed during the year 2020 were identified and analyzed through a narrative literature review. The results of this analysis suggest the formation of a discursive coalition between governments and the mining industry, allowing it to position itself as a key actor in the economic recovery; and highlights the relative marginalization of Indigenous claims and perspectives.
