Zusammenfassung:Introduction: Arterial hypertension (AH) is a chronic disease that affects the heart, characterized by elevated blood pressure levels in the arteries, being one of the main causes of death in the world. Objectives: To report the experience of nursing students in an educational action on "Healthy lifestyle habits to control blood pressure for hypertensive users of primary health care" in Belem do Para. Description of the experience: The action was carried out by students nursing during practices of the collective health discipline on the topic "Healthy habits to prevent or control hypertension" to hypertensive users of a health unit in Belem do Para, on July 13, 2022, in the waiting room of the unit itself . Flit charts and educational folders were used as teaching material. Before starting the exhibition, four questions were asked: 1) Do you carry out your treatment correctly? 2) Do you attend follow-up appointments? 3) Do you consider your diet to be healthy? Do you perform any regular physical activity? To evaluate the impact of the educational action, the QUIZ tool was applied at the end of the exhibition, whose participants' responses were signaled through the use of signs with the words right and/or wrong. Result: 12 (twelve) users participated in the action. Regarding the answers to question number one, the majority reported not taking the correct treatment for hypertension. Regarding question number two, 40% of those present reported not attending follow-up appointments. Regarding question number three, only 10% reported following nutritional guidelines and adopting a healthy diet, such as a low- sodium and low-calorie diet. As for question number four, 80% said they walk and ride bicycles, but as a means of transportation and not as physical activities. With regard to the application of the "QUIZ", it was found that 90% of the participants answered the questions correctly on the topic covered, noting that the educational action was of great value in increasing the level of information on prevention and health promotion. Conclusion: Health education about healthy habits to prevent or control hypertension was of great importance for hypertensive users to increase their knowledge and apply it in everyday practice, directly influencing the improvement of quality of life.
